An Imagined Partnership: HoM Haute × Harrods Salon de Parfums

The Twenty-Sixth Name
If HoM Haute reached the Sixth Floor at Harrods.
An imagined arrival — a daydream, not a deal
Every other daydream in this collection imagines making something with someone. This one imagines being let in. On the Sixth Floor at Harrods, behind metre upon metre of polished marble and beneath a single crystal chandelier, sit twenty-five hand-selected perfume houses — Amouage, Roja, Xerjoff, Henry Jacques tucked behind a velvet curtain — the most exclusive fragrance address in the world. The daydream is simple, and the most audacious of them all: that an independent house from Jakarta could one day be the twenty-sixth name on that floor. Nothing here is arranged. But a daydream tells you where a house would walk if the doors opened.
What the Salon is
Not a shop — a destination, reached by escalator into what Harrods calls a scented nirvana. Twenty-five houses chosen by hand; a marble gallery; bespoke scent built for you by legendary noses — Roja Dove, the “Professeur de Parfum”; Guerlain's Thierry Wasser; Henry Jacques, the couture of perfume. It is, by design, the pinnacle: the place the rarest things in fragrance come to be smelled. To stand there is not to collaborate with anyone. It is to be judged worthy of the marble. Tap through the floor.
Metre upon metre of marble
The setting
You don't browse the Salon; you walk it — a polished marble gallery you move down slowly, one rare house at a time. The architecture itself tells you to take your time. It is the opposite of a counter; it is a procession.
One crystal chandelier
The heart of the room
A single striking crystal chandelier hangs at the centre of the floor — the still point the whole gallery turns around. Light, marble and scent, arranged like a salon in the old sense of the word: a room you are received into.
Behind a velvet curtain
Henry Jacques
One house — Henry Jacques, the couture of perfumery — is so private it sits behind a decadent velvet curtain. The Salon's logic in a single gesture: the most exclusive thing is the one you can't even see until you're invited to.
A scent made only for you
The bespoke noses
Roja Dove will hand-source and mature a fragrance to your preferences; Guerlain's Thierry Wasser will compose one sur mesure; Penhaligon's pairs you with master perfumer Alberto Morillas. This is the rarest service in the trade — a perfume that exists for one person on earth.
Twenty-five, hand-selected
The company
Amouage, Xerjoff, Bond No. 9, Kilian, Penhaligon's, The Harmonist, Strangelove, Fueguia, Roja — the floor is a curated few, not a crowd. Every name is there because a buyer decided it belonged. The bar is the whole point.
A scent to remember by
The bridge · their bespoke promise
Read the Salon's own words for its bespoke service: a scent to “remember a time or a place, or capture the spirit of a loved one.” That is not their marketing to us — it is our founding sentence. Harum Oleh Memori. Fragrance, through memory. The floor already believes the thing this house was built on.
What's there, and what isn't
The marble has nearly everything. The daydream turns on the nearly. Turn it over.
The floor, and the gap
What's already there · what we'd bring
The rarest materials, the legendary noses, the couture bespoke.
European heritage and Arabian opulence; oud, ambergris, master perfumers, marble. The pinnacle of luxury fragrance, assembled in one room.
The one thing the marble doesn't have yet — a house built entirely on memory, from Jakarta, that plays it like jazz.
Not another rare oud. A different idea: scent as remembering, composed loose and free, from the equator. The twenty-sixth name would fill a gap the floor didn't know was open.
Our room on the Sixth Floor
What HoM Haute would put behind its stretch of marble. Tap through it.
A Listening Room, in marble
Our corner wouldn't be a counter — it would be a listening room. A chair, a turntable, a low jazz set, the scent and the song handed to you together. The one place on the floor where you sit down, close your eyes, and are played to.
The memory bespoke
The Salon already offers bespoke by preference. Ours would be bespoke by memory: you describe a moment — a room, a person, a year — and we build the scent of remembering it, not of liking it. The house's whole reason, made a service.
A different latitude
Among the French houses and the Arabian ouds, one equatorial voice: an archipelago palette, a Southeast-Asian indie on a floor that has never had one. Not louder than the others — just from somewhere else, and honest about it.
The Sixth-Floor exclusive
And the one thing you could buy nowhere else on earth — a HoM Haute release made only for the marble.
No. 26
The Salon exclusive
A scent of two cities: an equatorial Jakarta night — frangipani, warm rain on stone, a far-off trumpet — carried into a cold Knightsbridge marble room. The house's London-only edition: the smell of home, worn a very long way from it. Poured on the Sixth Floor, and nowhere else.

Twenty-five — and one more.
“Twenty-five hand-selected names. The whole daydream is to be the twenty-sixth.”
The point of a daydream
This is the one daydream that isn't a partnership at all — you don't negotiate a scent with a floor; you earn your way onto it. We write it down because every serious house keeps this address somewhere in its head, and because of a small, real coincidence: the Salon's own promise — a fragrance to remember a time, a place, a person — is the exact sentence this house was founded on. So in the way that matters most, we already belong to its idea. The marble is just the part that hasn't happened yet.
Notes & honesty
On the place. Salon de Parfums is Harrods' luxury fragrance destination on the Sixth Floor in Knightsbridge, London — a marble gallery of roughly twenty-five hand-selected houses (including Amouage, Roja, Xerjoff, Bond No. 9, Henry Jacques, Kilian, Penhaligon's, Guerlain, Chanel and Tom Ford) with bespoke services from noses such as Roja Dove, Guerlain's Thierry Wasser, Penhaligon's Alberto Morillas and Henry Jacques. Details and the quoted bespoke promise are drawn from Harrods' own description.
This is an imagined homage written by HoM Haute — a thought experiment about arrival, not a stockist relationship, an agreement, or an endorsement by Harrods or any house named here. “No. 26” and its edition details are invented for this piece.
