An Imagined Partnership: HoM Haute × Meo Fusciuni

The Explorer and the Keeper

If HoM Haute and Meo Fusciuni shared one journey — his to make, ours to remember.
An imagined partnership — a daydream, not a deal

Most of these daydreams reach across a discipline. This one reaches across a temperament. Meo Fusciuni is the Sicilian poet and explorer who goes out for his perfumes — a journey, a poem, an impression carried home to the quiet atelier and bottled. We work the opposite direction: we don't travel for a scent, we remember one. He is named for the journey — Nota di Viaggio, Travel Memories; we are named for memory itself — Harum Oleh Memori. One house goes; the other keeps. So allow the daydream of a single journey split between two hands.

Why Meo Fusciuni

Because he is the rarest kind of kin: a house that reaches our beliefs from the opposite road — literally. Giuseppe Imprezzabile, who signs his work meo fusciuni, is a poet and a traveller who builds each perfume out of a journey and the poem it leaves behind, gathered into trilogies and notes of the journey and self-portraits, luminous and dark. He goes to the far places and returns with a scent. Where he travels outward to find it, we turn inward to keep it; where he maps, we remember; and where he writes it down, we play it loose and jazz-souled, the way you remember a tune rather than read it. Same conviction — that a perfume is a story you wear — reached by going, and by staying.

His titles, our world

Start with the uncanny part: the names already overlap. Tap through a few of his real perfumes and hear how close the two houses stand.

Notturno
His word · the nocturne
A perfume named for the night. The night is the hour this house keeps too — the Listening Room, the late set, the scent that only opens once the room goes quiet. His nocturne, our 2 a.m. We'd be composing in the same darkness.
L'Oblìo
His word · oblivion, forgetting
He bottled forgetting. We are Harum Oleh Memori — fragrance through memory. One house distils what slips away on the road; the other distils what makes it home. Put them side by side and you have the whole of a journey: what you lose, and what you keep.
Little Song
His word · a song, in scent
He already calls a perfume a song. We'd only ask to play the changes — to take his written melody and improvise over it, the way a soloist lifts a lyric off the page and somewhere new.
Travel Memories
His collection · the journey, remembered
His whole work lives between the journey and the memory of it — which is exactly the seam where the two houses meet. The journey is his; the memory is ours. The memory of a journey is the place a co-made perfume would be born.
Viole Nere
His word · black violets
A dark, powdered, melancholy flower — the kind of note a slow ballad is built on. His palette runs to the introspective and the nocturnal, which is to say: it runs to ours.
Nota di Viaggio
His series · notes of the journey
The whole partnership hides in this title's pun. A nota is a perfume note and a musical note at once — Italian keeps them the same word. His notes of the journey, our notes on the staff. Two houses already writing in the same alphabet.

Out, or in

The collaboration is the difference between two directions. Turn it over.

One scent, two directions
Out, or in?
Meo Fusciuni — he goes to find it.
The poem and the perfume both begin on the road: a journey out, an impression gathered, a return to the atelier of quiet. The scent is what he carried back — outward, then home.
HoM Haute — we keep it.
We don't cross the world for a scent; we close our eyes and rebuild one from memory, loose and jazz-souled, the way a player remembers a tune. The promise: his journey, our memory of it, held in one bottle.

What we'd make together

Three things, in the daydream. Tap through them.

The return
He brings an impression — or a raw material — home from a real journey; we build the fragrance from the memory of that place rather than the place itself. The explorer carries it back; the keeper distils what survives once the trip is only a memory. What you smell isn't the journey — it's what stayed.
A travelogue, in three forms
One release, three media: he writes and walks the journey as a poem; we score the memory of it as a piece of music; the perfume sits between the two. A travelogue you can read, hear and wear — the same road, kept three ways.
Oblivion & Memory
His L'Oblìo — oblivion — paired with a HoM Memori as a two-bottle duet. One holds everything a journey loses; the other, the little that survives it. Wear them a day apart and you live the whole arc of a memory: first vivid, then gone, then — faintly — back.

The point of a daydream

Some of these partners we admire across a gulf. This one we'd simply recognise — a house that decided, independently and in another language, that a perfume is something you travel for, write down, and remember, rather than merely smell. Naming him here is less a wish than an acknowledgement: that the idea this house was built on has a cousin in Italy who walks toward it while we sit still and recall it, and that the two of us, on the right night, would have a great deal to say to one another in scent.

Notes & honesty

On the house. Meo Fusciuni is an independent Italian artisan perfume house — the work of Giuseppe Imprezzabile, a Sicilian poet and traveller who builds each fragrance from a journey and pairs it with poetry. Real perfumes referenced include Notturno, L'Oblìo, Little Song, Odor 93, Spirito, Narcotico, Varanasi, Viole Nere, Buio and Luce, alongside his Nota di Viaggio series and the Travel Memories and Self-Portraits collections.

This is an imagined homage written by HoM Haute — admiration and a thought experiment, not a commercial relationship, an agreement, or an endorsement by Meo Fusciuni or Giuseppe Imprezzabile. All ten release names above are invented for this piece.
