HoM Haute — short for Harum Oleh Memori, “fragrance through memory” — was founded on a simple belief: scent is one of the few things capable of preserving memory long after the moment itself has passed.

A scent can recall a forgotten conversation, a distant place, a season of life, or a person no longer present, with a clarity that words often cannot. Inspired by the spontaneity of jazz, the discipline of haute craftsmanship, and the beauty of imperfection, each creation is composed in small batches as a living expression rather than a fixed formula — made not only to be worn, but remembered.

Provenance

From the archipelago, and the world

A fragrance is a map of places. As an Indonesian house, we begin at home, then travel outward for the materials the composition needs.

Indonesia

Patchouli of Sulawesi, Kupang sandalwood of Timor, clove and nutmeg of Maluku, agarwood of Kalimantan, ylang and vetiver of Java.

The world

Rose and jasmine of Grasse, orris of Tuscany, bergamot of Calabria, frankincense of Oman, vetiver of Haiti, vanilla of Madagascar.

We buy through legal, documented supply and favour sustainable, plantation-grown woods. Protected materials are sourced through regulated channels, and our animalics are cruelty-free or legally and ethically obtained.
