At its heart lies carnation, one of perfumery’s most misunderstood flowers. Warm, textured, and quietly noble. Rose de Mai lends softness, violet leaf introduces a green coolness, while cypress adds structure and restraint. Together they create a floral accord that feels thoughtful rather than romantic, carrying the dignity of choosing compassion when retaliation would be easier.

The turning point arrives through Kyphi Vert Distillate. An interpretation of the ancient Egyptian temple incense, distilled directly onto gurjun balsam and woven with frankincense and myrrh. The result is neither purely resinous nor traditionally smoky. Instead, it possesses an unusual green spirituality, as if sacred woods and living leaves coexist within the same breath. It feels ancient without feeling old.
