Sunset In Jakarta 50ml
Description
I was one of them.
A commuter in Jakarta, starting in 2016. Shirt damp, shoes dusty, soul somewhere between Sudirman and dreams. Every evening, I watched the city bleed orange as the sun dipped behind towers and tangled wires. It wasn’t beautiful in the usual sense, but it meant something.
This perfume is that memory.
It opens with the bright sting of orange and apricot, the kind of sweetness that catches in the air between ojeg fumes and the metallic breath of train doors. Tobacco creeps in next, soft and smoky, like the jackets of smokers waiting at the platform edge. Then comes the patchouli and tonka, warm, urban earthiness grounded, worn, and real. And musk lingers at the base, like the scent of resilience that clings to a crowded bus at twilight. There’s even a whisper of pollution, a phantom trace of city grit, softened by time.
Sunset in Jakarta isn’t about escape. It’s about the strange beauty found when you don’t.
For every worker who’s ever dreamed on a train. For every soul shaped by that golden smog.
This is mine. Maybe it’s yours, too.
Philosophy
Every HoM Haute fragrance is produced in small batches. Minor variations between batches may occur due to the use of natural materials, maturation, and ongoing refinement of the composition. Rather than pursuing absolute uniformity, we embrace fragrance as a living creation that continues to evolve. Time, storage conditions, and wear will shape each bottle into a slightly different experience. We encourage you to age and observe your fragrance as part of its journey.
Safety
Some HoM Haute creations intentionally explore materials, concentrations, and historical perfumery practices beyond contemporary commercial standards. Certain fragrances may contain ingredients restricted, discontinued, or used at levels exceeding current IFRA recommendations. Individuals with sensitive skin, allergies, or known fragrance sensitivities should exercise caution. We recommend testing on a small area of skin, such as the palm or inner forearm, before regular use.
