Welcome to HoM Haute
The name is short for Harum oleh Memori — “Fragrance Through Memory.” It reflects the idea that scent is one of the few things able to preserve a moment long after the moment itself has gone.
A familiar scent can return a forgotten conversation, a distant place, a season of life, or a person whose presence still lingers somewhere in memory. Long before perfume became a luxury or a statement of style, it was a deeply personal experience. For HoM Haute, that remains its most important purpose.
The house was founded in Jakarta by Reza Irwansyah — independent, and built on curiosity, craftsmanship and creative freedom. It did not begin in a formal academy, but through years of self-directed learning, experimentation, and a fascination with how scent can communicate ideas and emotions in ways words often cannot.
A philosophy borrowed from jazz
In jazz, technique matters — but so does spontaneity. Structure exists, yet it leaves room for interpretation. We see fragrance the same way.
“A composition may be played differently each night — and still remain entirely itself.”
Three registers, one house
Every creation is blended in small batches, leaving room for refinement and risk. The collection moves freely between three registers — without being confined to any one of them.
This journal is an extension of that process — stories behind fragrances, reflections on materials and composition, and occasional thoughts on memory, culture and craft. Some entries explore finished creations; others document ideas still in progress. All are part of the same ongoing journey.
Whether you are a collector, an enthusiast, or simply someone who believes a fragrance can hold meaning beyond the bottle —
thank you for being here.
Welcome to HoM Haute.
