Description
Smoke in the spotlight. Velvet on the trigger.
Jazz Noir Roulette is a bet you place on your own skin. Three chords struck at once, gunpowder, sweet maple revenge, velvet tobacco orris, held together the way a piano trio holds a room at two in the morning. It walks the line between danger and decadence, and it never lands in quite the same place twice.
It opens with the shot. Gunpowder cuts the air with metallic heat, black pepper and Oman frankincense sharpening the edge, gurjum balsam smoking low underneath, rum resinoid pouring warmth over all of it. Not aggressive. Deliberate, like a gaze held a second too long.
Then the revenge arrives, and it is sweet. Maple lactone thickens into syrup, Ceylon cinnamon and clove leaf spice it, cacao absolute darkens it, and tobacco absolute unfurls rich and sticky through the middle. Think of a glass left half full on a piano, sugar settled at the bottom, shadows all around it.
At the centre, orris. Orris butter and orris root absolute, cool and powdery and quietly expensive, drawing everything inward with the restraint of someone who has nothing to prove. It does not raise its voice. It does not need to. Cashmeran wraps it in velvet. Papua sandalwood holds it steady.
The base takes its time. Labdanum, benzoin, tolu and Peru balsam, myrrh, amber resin and guaiacwood settle into a slow dance that lasts long after the room empties. Underneath, traces of civet and castoreum. Just enough animal to remind you someone is still watching from the corner.
Wear it late. Wear it when the plan has already gone sideways and you have decided not to mind. It is not a fragrance for arriving. It is a fragrance for staying.
Jazz Noir Roulette does not aim to please. It lingers like a question at last call, with enough bite to keep you curious and enough elegance to keep you close.
Longevity & Wear
Every HoM Haute bottle is an extrait de parfum. That tells you the concentration, not how it will behave on you. How long a composition lasts and how far it carries depends on the materials in it, on your skin chemistry, and on the nose that meets it. Some of our bottles sit close and quiet for hours; others announce themselves and then settle. Apply lightly, one or two touches at the pulse points, and let the skin decide.
Our fragrances are sold unmatured. What you receive is a composition at the beginning of its life. Over the first weeks and months the sharper edges settle, the heart becomes rounder, and the base grows deeper and more unified. Keep the bottle closed, away from light and heat, and revisit it over time. The bottle you own at six months is not the bottle you opened.
Philosophy
Every HoM Haute fragrance is produced in small batches. Minor variations between batches may occur due to the use of natural materials, maturation, and ongoing refinement of the composition. Rather than pursuing absolute uniformity, we embrace fragrance as a living creation that continues to evolve. Time, storage conditions, and wear will shape each bottle into a slightly different experience. We encourage you to age and observe your fragrance as part of its journey.

Safety
Some HoM Haute creations intentionally explore materials, concentrations, and historical perfumery practices beyond contemporary commercial standards. Certain fragrances may contain ingredients restricted, discontinued, or used at levels exceeding current IFRA recommendations. Individuals with sensitive skin, allergies, or known fragrance sensitivities should exercise caution. We recommend testing on a small area of skin, such as the palm or inner forearm, before regular use.
