Rococo Jazz Fragonard 50ml
Description
Rococo Jazz Fragonard is an imagined meeting between two worlds that never existed together. The powdered elegance of eighteenth-century France and the smoky improvisation of midnight jazz. Fragonard’s painted gardens dissolved into amber shadows. Crystal chandeliers reflected through clouds of resin and animalic warmth. A courtly dream viewed through the lens of memory rather than history.
The fragrance begins with Aldehydic Fruits Of Cythera. Prune and mirabelle shimmer beneath luminous aldehydes, creating an impression that feels simultaneously antique and strangely modern. The fruits are not fresh from the orchard. They arrive preserved in crystal decanters, served within gilded salons where conversations drift between philosophy, seduction, and art. Bergamot and aromatic spices provide a fleeting brightness, illuminating the composition like sunlight striking gold leaf before disappearing into shadow.
As the fragrance unfolds, it enters Resins Beneath Gilded Lacquer. Myrrh, opoponax, benzoin, and labdanum emerge slowly, revealing a heart rich with texture and depth. Carnation and rose evoke powdered silk gloves and embroidered waistcoats, while jasmine and iris lend an aristocratic softness. The florals never become overtly romantic. Instead they remain poised and cultivated, as though preserved within the walls of a forgotten château. Rich balsams flow beneath the surface, hidden like secret chambers behind ornate panels of lacquer and carved wood.
The final movement arrives as Civet In Amber Chiaroscuro. Vanilla and sandalwood provide warmth, but not comfort. Oakmoss and patchouli introduce the darkness of an old world beginning to fade. Civet lingers at the edges of the composition, creating tension between refinement and instinct. The effect resembles the contrast found in classical painting, where illumination becomes more beautiful because darkness surrounds it. What remains is neither entirely elegant nor entirely wild. It is the fragile balance between civilization and desire.
Rococo Jazz Fragonard is a fragrance about beauty at its most excessive. A celebration of ornament, pleasure, and imagination. It recalls a final evening in a grand salon before dawn arrives, when music still echoes through gilded halls and every surface glows with the warmth of candlelight. A world already disappearing, yet somehow made immortal through scent.
Philosophy
Every HoM Haute fragrance is produced in small batches. Minor variations between batches may occur due to the use of natural materials, maturation, and ongoing refinement of the composition. Rather than pursuing absolute uniformity, we embrace fragrance as a living creation that continues to evolve. Time, storage conditions, and wear will shape each bottle into a slightly different experience. We encourage you to age and observe your fragrance as part of its journey.
Safety
Some HoM Haute creations intentionally explore materials, concentrations, and historical perfumery practices beyond contemporary commercial standards. Certain fragrances may contain ingredients restricted, discontinued, or used at levels exceeding current IFRA recommendations. Individuals with sensitive skin, allergies, or known fragrance sensitivities should exercise caution. We recommend testing on a small area of skin, such as the palm or inner forearm, before regular use.
